“Puncch Beat 2” is a series that revolves around the fictional Rosewood High, featuring characters with a certain style quotient. For the same reason, stylist Minar Katarnaware, who has worked for a long time in the industry, was on board to design the actors and their respective characters.
Minar has designed a plethora of great TV stars like Sakshi Tanwar, Ankita Lokhande, Divyanka Tripathi, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Anjum Fakih, and Shraddha Arya. Minar shares his experience designing the cast of “Puncch Beat 2”.
Speaking about the cast design for Puncch Beat 2, Minar Katarnaware said: “We had to improve our game in terms of style from the first season. In the first season, most of the time, the actors wore school uniforms. However, in the second season they had more casual changes. So we experimented a lot with her clothes and brought out her character traits through style. The positive point was that all the actors wore their clothes so well, and my work was very easy thanks to them. “
Minar Katarnaware also reveals that although the characters were in school uniforms for most of the role, their characteristics were shown “through the accessories they used with the school uniform, the type of bags they carried, and also through their hair and makeup.” . He also adds, “I learned most of the style tips from the actor’s real-life sense of style.”
Minar found Samyuktha Hegde, the show’s last participant, to be the most difficult to design. He explains, “Misha (Samyuktha’s character) as a character was sporty but sexy. Also, she is a fighter on the show. So we had to be very careful not to make his character look like a tomboy. We had to balance his sportsmanship and give his clothes a lot of oomph. “
Meanwhile, he felt that Niki Walia and Kajol Tyagi were the easiest and most fun to design. “Niki Walia is one of those actors who can carry everything so easily that she makes my job as a stylist very easy. I loved working with her. On the other hand, designing Lara (Kajol’s character) was a new experiment with every change in her appearance. I could push my creative limits while styling it. After the first changes, we both got into rhythm with the clothes. And it shows in the episodes. He did justice to all his clothes. “
Speaking about Priyank Sharma’s look in Puncch Beat 2, Minar Katarnaware says: “Rahat’s look was called ‘The Zara Man’. That was his reference. Elegant, not overly stylish, but nonetheless makes a statement. “He also reveals that Priyank’s style reminded him of Dheeraj Dhoopar, whom he has designed for the hit show Kundali Bhagya.” Priyank reminded me of Dheeraj Dhoopar (Actor). Both they were very involved in the process. They are also open to ideas from the team and have many positive contributions to bring their characters to life on screen. “
“Puncch Beat 2” airs on ALTBalaji.
