Horror is a genre in Indian cinema that is rarely explored and even rare when executed well. Therefore, when a movie comes out that scares you very much, it should be appreciated. And it is Nushrratt Bharccha‘s Chhorii trying to do it successfully. The trailer of Chhorii was released today and sees Nushrratt backing a movie on his shoulders for the first time.
Check out the trailer here:
In the trailer, the actress rehearses the role of an eight-month pregnant woman who moves to a remote area in the middle of a sugar cane field trying to protect her family from a mysterious situation.
What follows her there turns out to be more mysterious as Nushrratt’s character becomes entangled in the history and history of the house she has stayed in. She is surrounded by secrets and children running to meet her ‘Chhoti Mayi’. And visually, it promises to be a spooky ride.
Chhorii has been directed by Vishal Fury and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, Jack Davis, and Shikhaa sharma. It is written by Vishal Fury, Vishal Kapoor, and will be released on November 26, 2021.
Nushrratt has gotten better with each of her films and I think it’s time to explore her histrionics one step further, and this year she has made it possible. From rom-coms, now the actress has moved on to mystery and horror and I can’t wait for her to scare me on November 26.
