Hero Electric continually works to improve the electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the country. Now the company has partnered with a Bengaluru-based start-up for this, which will install 1 lakh chargers across the country.

Hero Electric has partnered with Charzer, a Bengaluru-based start-up company. According to the association, both companies will install a total of 1 lakh of electric vehicle chargers across the country over the next three years. This will help give a standard shape to the electric vehicle charging space in the country. In any case, Hero Electric is the oldest and most established company in the country in the electric scooter segment.

10,000 chargers in the first year

Hero Electric reported Tuesday that in partnership with Charzer, the company will install 10,000 electric vehicle chargers in 30 cities during the first year. This will also include chargers installed at Hero Electric dealerships. Not only this, Charzer chargers will be connected to the mobile app so that people can get information about the electric vehicle charger near them.

Hero Electric to increase capacity

Hero Electric faces stiff competition from startups like Ola Elecric, Ather Energy and Okinava in the market. In such a situation, the company is expanding its product portfolio. Along with this, by March 2022, it will also increase its production capacity to 5 lakh units per year.
