In light of increased pollution at NCR, the Greater Noida Authority has banned all types of construction work, RMC, hot mix plants and the use of diesel generators for the next four days. The authority has taken this step by following the instructions of the Air Quality Management Commission established to monitor air pollution at NCR.

The authority’s executive director, Narendra Bhushan, said the responsibility was given to ACEO Deepchandra in this matter. After which he issued the office order Tuesday after discussing it. In which it has been said that residential, commercial, computer, institutional, construction projects, road resurfacing, construction of new roads, etc. they won’t happen for the next four days. During this, instructions have been given to keep building materials covered. Whenever there is a possibility of dust blowing, the use of anti-smog guns has been requested. The immediate closure of hot mix plants and RMC, the use of diesel generators in hotels or dhabas has also been prohibited. For disobeying these orders, instructions were given to take strict action in accordance with the NGT rules.

Instructions to NPCL for power supply
In view of the need for generators to reduce pollution, the authority has also ordered NPCL for a fluid power supply so that the work is not affected. Apart from this, a team has also been formed to identify garbage burners and take action. ACEO Deepchand has asked the fire officer for two water sprinklers to spray water. One machine will be used to spray water in Greater Noida and the other in Greater Noida West. Apart from this, the projects / horticulture department has also been instructed to collect the waste after pruning the trees and process it to compost and dump the garbage in the landfill and increase the frequency of mechanical sweeping.
