Aamir Khan has etched his name in Bollywood with his acting prowess. In 1988, when the Dangal star had just finished singing his debut film ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’, the young actor had revealed that he went through the same audition process as all actors; he was selected in the movie only because the creators saw some potential in him.

Coming from a fuzzy background, the actor never asked anyone to work on a specific movie just because his father Tahir Hussain was a film producer. Instead, the actor stayed true to himself and received great films with his own talents.

Although Aamir Khan was part of ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’ as a child actor, ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ helped him get into the spotlight. During an interview in 1988, the actor was asked if the romantic movie was made for release, and he said, “No one would spend that much money just because you have a relative. I had to go launch a screen test routine and audition. Well, they gave me preference, but that’s because they saw the potential in me. There has to be something in you that separates you from the rest and, in my case, it showed. “

Surprisingly, Aamir Khan had stated that he was not interested in making Bollywood movies, he said: “When I was a child, I was shy, nervous, silly and uncomfortable, acting was very far from my thoughts, my ‘steamy’ connections disappointed me even more. My dad (Tahir Hussain) as a producer, paid directors and artists, however, he had to chase them regularly as they would play musical chairs with him before finishing his films. Seeing these unfavorable conditions, I swore that I would never become a producer or would have anything to do with movies. “

Talking about how he approached the art of acting, the ‘Fanaa’ actor shares: “Acting was just by accident when I was at the XII std, Aditya Bhattacharya approached me for her short film, which she wanted to send to the festival and I said ‘ Yeah ‘just for the fun of it. I enjoyed the experience and gradually it grew in me and made me trust the fact that I could act, then I decided to take acting as a profession. “

Aamir Khan is currently one of the most adored actors / producers in the industry and has never approached anyone for a job. It seems that Aamir had already seen his destiny, since he had shared it, he would never attempt to take roles.

Speaking about the kinds of roles he would like to play in future films, the actor said: “Being typecast can make you claustrophobic; I will take my time instead of being carried away by some kind of image. I want to do roles that suit me. I am aware of the fact that unless you have “hits” behind you, no one takes you seriously. If Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak is a success, I can be selective; otherwise I will take whatever comes my way. My performance will be my publicity ”.

Aamir Khan concluded by saying, “My future plans are not yet set in my mind. I’d rather not talk about them now. I hope the best of times come. I want to do well and be appreciated, naturally, but I don’t know what fate has in store for me. If I am not a successful actor, I turn to the direction. I am very ambitious and it has been my ambition that has made me move forward so far ”.
