The mother of badminton player Krishna Nagar, who won the gold medal for the country at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, has passed away. Krishna Nagar has been honored with the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna awards this year, but due to the death of his mother, did not go to receive the award.
Krishna Nagar’s mother died on the same Friday night, a few days ago she had fallen from the roof and was later admitted to the hospital. Due to the death of his mother, Krishna had to return home from New Delhi.
Krishna Nagar hails from Jaipur, Rajasthan, who won the gold medal in the Badminton M6 category at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Krishna Nagar had expressed his happiness at receiving the Khel Ratna award, but everything changed at the last moment. For Khel Ratna, Krishna had said that it is a matter of pride that before he won the gold medal, now he is receiving this award. My family is also very happy.
It is worth noting that this time a total of 12 players were awarded the Khel Ratna Prize. Among them are Neeraj Chopra, Sreejesh, Mithali Raj, Manpreet Singh, Ravi Dahiya, Pramod Bhagat and other players.
