The Naxalites killed two villagers around 3pm on Friday in Malakhedi village, adjacent to Kanha National Park, in Baihar tehsil of Balaghat district. The Naxalites are said to have carried out this incident under suspicion of being a police whistleblower.

Naxalites killed two villagers Friday night in Malakhedi village adjacent to Kanha National Park in Baihar tehsil in Madhya Pradesh’s Balaghat district. After this, the Naxalites also threw pamphlets at the site. It is written in it that those who inform the police will have the same result. In the letter, other agents, including the Police Superintendent, have been threatened.

Balaghat Police Superintendent Abhishek Tiwari said the names of the deceased are Santosh and Jagdish Yadav. His age is between 45 and 50 years. According to preliminary information, the Maoists shot and killed him. Villagers also heard the sound of gunfire around 3:00 pm. The Naxalites also threw pamphlets at the site. Last year, on November 6, 2020, a Naxalite woman was killed in a police encounter in the same town.

According to the information received, the Naxalites have carried out this incident under the suspicion of being a police informer. The police have been warned in the pamphlets released by the Naxalites. In it it is written that the same will be the result of the informants. It is warned in the pamphlet that all officers including the superintendent of police must improve or else they will face the consequences. The police force has rushed to the scene to retrieve the bodies.
