A female Kerala police deputy inspector has been suspended for filing a false complaint. Action was taken against Deputy Inspector Sugunavalli in the office of the Assistant Commissioner Kozhikode Medical College.

what is the whole thing

Sub-inspector Sugunavalli was renting with a family living in Panniyakara, Kozhikode. The landlord had lodged a complaint with the Panniyakara Police Inspector that Sugunvalli had not paid the rent for the past four months. The Circle Inspector was called in to investigate the complaint, but SI Sugunvalli did not appear.

Four days later, Sugunvalli arrived at the police station and complained that the husband of the owner’s daughter grabbed her hand and removed her wedding ring. In the complaint, he also said that the owner’s family will have to pay him one lakh of rupees, which includes the price of the ring and 70,000 rupees, which is the rent for the house paid in advance.

On this, the police registered a case of harassment against the landlord’s son-in-law. But later in the investigation, Sugunavalli was found to be displeased with the landlord demanding the pending rent and thus had filed a false complaint.

The investigation against Sugunavalli found that the information provided about her family was also false. At the same time, it was also learned that Sugunavalli abused his position as deputy inspector and had benefited from many benefits.
