Now, the Crimes Division has filed a petition in Mumbai Metropolitan Magistrate’s court to declare Parambir Singh a criminal on the run.

The Goregaon Section of the Mumbai Police Crimes Section is investigating the extortion case. Special prosecutor Shekhar Jagtap has filed a petition demanding that, along with Parambir Singh, two other defendants, Riyaz Bhati and Vinay Singh, alias Bablu, also be declared criminals. Shekhar Jagtap said in this regard that we already have three arrest warrants against the defendants without bail.

He said the next hearing on this petition will take place in court on Monday. Significantly, about two weeks ago, on October 30, the court had issued arrest warrants without bail against Parambir Singh and two other defendants. Officers who came to the last known address to repair the warrant could not find anyone there. According to officials, the defendants could not be located since the case was registered.

According to officials, security guard Satish Burute and cook Rambahadur Thapa were found at Parambir Singh’s residence on Malabar Hill. He has informed the Crimes Section that Parambir Singh and his family have been missing for the past three months. Similarly, Riyaz Bhati’s wife also informed the police that Riyaz has not returned home since the case was recorded. Vinay Singh’s brother Vinod Singh and his wife Saraswati Singh have also made a similar statement.
