- Incident in Sikthia village of Chandauli district, there was a dispute over the cartel
In the Chandauli district of eastern Uttar Pradesh, there was a dispute over the posting of posters with greeting messages at Chhath Puja. The dispute over the posting of signs in the Sikthia village of Chandauli district was then resolved, but on Saturday this spark was reignited. It is alleged that on Saturday morning between 8 and 10 people from one side came to the house on the other side, called the young man and brutally beat him. Due to a serious head injury, a young man named Vishal died on the spot.
On the other hand, as soon as Vishal’s family members and villagers found out about this incident, people began to create a scandal. Villagers looted the shop of one of the accused and set it on fire. Upon receiving information about the incident, together with the Alinagar police station, forces from several nearby police stations arrived at the scene and began efforts to control the situation.
The Police Superintendent (SP) and the District Magistrate (DM) also came to the situation and pacified the relatives and villagers by persuading them in some way. The police took the body in their possession and sent it for an autopsy. In this case, the police say that the relatives of the deceased young man have given him a name Tahrir.
Police officers say the defendants will be arrested soon. SP Ankur Aggarwal said that action will be taken against the defendants under Section 302 and the Atrocities Act. Tension prevailed in the area after this incident. In view of the tense atmosphere, a large police force has been deployed in the area.
