To produce a good comedy on screen, it is imperative to have a vibrant mood and vibrant atmosphere on sets and that was exactly the case with Devanshu Singh director ’14 Phere ‘starring Vikrant Massey.

As the film prepares for its Zee Cinema premiere soon, Devanshu and actor Vikrant Massey talked about their experience working on the film and how they managed to create a good clean comedy.

Speaking about the atmosphere on the sets, the director said: “We were singing, playing and having a great time on set, literally like a happy family. My goal for the film ’14 Phere ‘was to highlight each character in the film in a meaningful way, and not just the leads, so I focused a lot on the script of the film so that each role stands out. “

“The idea was to present something unique with a twist. Imagine masti and the madness when planning a shaadi, let alone two shaadis. It was a great experience to have worked with such a wonderful cast, as I said, it feels like family, “he added.

For Vikrant Massey, it was more about doing things that are far from reality. The actor said: “You rarely come across a movie that ticks all the boxes. He is a family entertainer who brings out a contemporary twist on an old social theme. I believe in finding a middle ground, but having said that, if I love my partner as much as my character Sanjay loves Aditi, I would definitely have done, in real life, things that Sanjay did. “

“What I cannot do or does not happen off-screen, I try to do in front of the camera. And I hope I have enough opportunities to continue to do so, ”added Vikrant Massey.

’14 Phere ‘, which also stars Kriti Kharbanda, Gauahar Khan and Jameel Khan, is a hilarious comedy that addresses an important issue of caste division, but at the same time softens the blow with its sharp humorous narrative.
