The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will host its first Global Hackathon with the aim of making digital payments even more secure and convenient for consumers. On Tuesday, the RBI made an announcement on the matter by issuing a statement. Registration for this hackathon called ‘Harbinger 2021’ will start from November 15th.

Solutions related to digital payments should be introduced
In announcing this Global Hackathon, the Reserve Bank of India said that Hackathon participants will find solutions to make digital payments accessible to the last person, simplify them and improve the experience. Along with this, issues related to making the digital payment process even more secure and convenient will be identified and resolved.

The winner will get 40 lakhs, then the broker-on will get 20 lakhs
According to the Reserve Bank, the winners of the entrants will be announced by the jury as part of the Harbinger 2021 Hackathon. A jury will select the winners of each category. 40 lakh will be awarded to the first place winner, while the second place participant (runner-up) will receive Rs 20 lakh as a prize.
