This year, the Chhath festival started on November 8th with bathing and eating. Taking a bath is the first day of Chhath Puja. In this, after cleaning the house in the morning, taking a bath, making a vow of worship, and mentally fasting, vegetarian food is eaten.

Day 2: Kharna (Kartik Shukla Paksha Panchami)

Kharna is the second day of the Chhath festival. Whoever observes a fast on the day of Kharna, observes a fast without consuming water on that day. In the evening, brown sugar kheer, bread and fruit ghee, etc. they are distributed as prasad in Kharna.

Day 3: Afternoon Arghya (Kartik Shukla Paksha Shashthi)

The third day is the main day of the Chhath festival. In this, Ardhya offers himself to the Sun God at night in Shashti Tithi. Before offering Arghya to the Sun, people gather on the banks of rivers and decorate the soup in bamboo baskets with fruits, thekua, laddus, and other worship materials. Vrati worships Chhathi Mai and offers prayers to the Sun and prays for the happiness and prosperity of her family.
