Sooryavanshi did an excellent job renewing the dismal situation of the cinemas during its opening weekend. Thanks to the Diwali holiday, the film managed to gain the maximum number of visits in theaters. Now that the festival is over and everything is back to normal, does the film still enjoy a great buzz among audiences? Let’s see how early booking fares on day 4.
As the festival weekend is over, the movie is expected to show a big drop in early booking. Let’s see what is the status in the main cities of India:
Mumbai remains the top performing city for Sooryavanshi. Here on day 4 around 15-20% of shows are filling up fast or near full. Spot reserves are expected to further boost performance.
The National Capital Region is decent with 6-8% programs are in fast fill mode. Since word of mouth on the film is good, the response is expected to grow as the day progresses.
Bengaluru is all blank and not a single program is filling up quickly.
In the city of Hyderabad, you see some shows here and there filling up quickly.
Ahmedabad remains constant from day one. It is in the similar vein of Mumbai with around 15-20% shows fast filling.
Chandigarh is also good with fifteen% shows almost full with early booking for Sooryavanshi.
Chennai is like Hyderabad with only a few shows running nearly full on advance ticket sales.
Pune stays decent with individual displays showing head-to-head performance with multiplexers. Around fifteen% shows are filling up fast.
Kolkata remains bored for Sooryavanshi in advance ticket sales.
