UP religious conversion case: In the case of illegal conversion, now the UP Police ATS has taken great action, they have arrested Abdullah, the son of Maulana Umar Gautam, who was previously arrested in this case. Umar Gautam’s son has been arrested in Noida, UP. The defendant Abdullah was financing the conversion, said to be in direct contact with Jehangir Alam and Kausar.
At the same time, it has also come to the fore in the ATAS investigation that the arrested Abdullah used to look after the work of Al Farooqi Madrasa and Masjid of Maulana Umar Gautam and the Dawa Islamic Center. Together with Maulana Umar Gautam, the UP Police have strong evidence of funding in Abdullah’s accounts. 75 lakhs have been funded into Abdullah’s bank accounts, of which 17 lakhs were sent with foreign funds. UP police are investigating this whole matter.
Maulana Umar Gautam has already been captured by the UP Police. Another Maulana Mufti Qazi Jahangir Qasmi was arrested with him. Maulana Umar ran the Dawa Islamic Center in the Jamia Nagar area of Delhi.

Who is Maulana Umar Gautam?
Maulana Umar Gautam is a resident of Fatehpur, UP. He was born into a Rajput family in 1964. Before adopting Islam, his name was Shyam Pratap Singh Gautam. His father’s name was Dhanraj Chauhan. Maulana had 6 siblings.
He did his Bachelor of Agriculture at Nainital, where he lived in a university hostel, where he was introduced to Nasir Khan from Bijnor. When Umar Gautam was injured during his studies at B.Sc, Nasir had served him well. The two became friends, under Nasir’s influence, in 1984, Gautam converted from Hindu to Islam during his studies.
