MLA Siddiqui accused police of lathi-charge
Bhanagar Naushad Siddiqui’s MLA ISF was supposed to address the meeting. Siddiqui alleged that the police brutally accused his party’s workers with lathi. He said that we were initially given permission for the meeting, but the local administration withdrew it a day ago at the urging of local TMC leaders. After this, our workers tried to go to the Padmapukur field and were arrested. When they protested, they were accused of lathi for no reason. He spoke of raising this issue in the assembly.
Meanwhile, the TMC leader of the area, Kaiser Ahmed, claimed that Siddiqui was trying to disturb the peace in the area.
