Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Purvanchal Express on November 16. This 340,824 km long highway will connect the east and west of the UP. The highway will start in the village of Chand Sarai in Lucknow.

After assuming power in UP, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had begun construction of the six-lane Purvanchal Highway from Lucknow to Azamgarh via Ghazipur to accelerate development in Purvanchal. The length of this highway is 340,824 km and it will be possible to build eight lanes in the future.

The highway will leave these cities
This highway will pass through the districts of Lucknow, Barabanki, Amethi, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau and Ghazipur. The government claims that this fast track will not only pave the way for industrial companies, but will also provide employment for a large number of people in the region.

PM Modi praised
Before Yogi Adityanath’s government came to power in March 2017, there were only two highways in the state. Now their number is about to increase. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also praised the way Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has shown enthusiasm in building highways in the state. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Varanasi for Dev-Deepawali last year, he praised the prime minister and said that Uttar Pradesh has now become a “freeway state”.
