A big announcement has been made in Delhi regarding the Chhath festival, a special festival of the Bihar people. By declaring a public holiday on the Chhath festival, the Delhi government has said that November 10 will be a public holiday for this festival.

It is worth noting that some time ago, the mayor of South Delhi, Mukesh Suryan, had said that arrangements had been made to spend up to 40 lakhs in each area district for Chhath. There will be a maximum of two Chhath Ghats in a neighborhood and up to 20 lakhs will be spent on one Chhath Ghat. The Municipal Corporation will spend this amount on these Chhath Ghats. Arrangements will be made through this budget at Chhath Ghats by the Engineering Department of the Municipal Corporation.

However, for this festival, there is a separate uproar due to the DDMA order. In reality, DDMA has clearly said that Chhath will not be held on the banks of the Yamuna. But the Aam Aadmi Party opposes this order. To this end, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Sanjeev Jha has also written a letter to LG. On this, Sanjeev Jha said: ‘It has been said in the DDMA order that Chhath will not be held on the banks of the Yamuna. A large number of Purvanchal residents worship Chhathi Maiya on the banks of the Yamuna. The LG is requested to withdraw this order immediately and instruct its officers to begin preparations for Chhath Puja on the banks of the Yamuna.
