The Marvel Cinematic Universe has gone through a complete makeover in phase 4 that has brought us almost entirely new characters and their never-before-seen capabilities. While they are now slowly moving towards creating a league of Earth’s mightiest heroes, the void left by the ancients has yet to be filled. As we miss Robert Downey Jr and his seniority as Iron Man and Scarlett Johansson with her standard Black Widow grin, Chris Hemsworth has lagged behind so as not to make us feel completely separate from the veterans.

Chris, who became Thor with the first God Of Thunder movie, has stayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for years. He has appeared in 9 feature films such as The Mighty Heavenly and 2 short films, which was Taika Waititi’s warm-up to make Ragnarok, one of the most successful Thor movies. Now he’s gearing up to play the iconic character in Love And Thunder, also directed by Oscar-winning fame Jojo Rabbit.

But will Thor: Love And Thunder be the last time we see Chris Hemsworth pick up the Mjolnir? Well, the latest update doesn’t seem like it has the most exciting news to offer. Read on to find out all you need to know about the same.

According to Giant Freakin Robot and his trustworthy information, the Marvel gods are in no mood to allow Chris Hemsworth to leave the MCU as of yet. The portal says the studio updated his contract and asked him to stay for three more movies after Thor: Love And Thunder. There is no confirmation of this yet, but the possibility cannot be denied. Love And Thunder recently finished filming in Australia and will be released in May 2022. Perhaps, we are still almost a year away from getting a confirmation.

However, Chris Hemsworth has never shied away from talking about Thor. He’s once talked about feeling exhausted playing God of Thunder until Taika Waititi took over. According to WGTC, Hemsworth explained that “tonally, we never get to what [The Dark World] it should have been. It also turned a bit, I don’t mean to say seriously, but while filming it, I desperately wanted to do something more fun and unexpected with the character. Fortunately, when we got to Ragnarok, he was exhausted with what he had been doing and a little disappointed in what he was saying. “

He was quick to clarify that it has nothing to do with the writers or the directors. “I felt like I had put myself in a box with what the character could do,” explained Chris Hemsworth. “So Ragnarok was about breaking all the rules. Taika … had the guts to roll the dice, and anything goes. That was so liberating and liberating, breaking with who the previous character was, ”he said.

Thor: Love And Thunder hits the big screens on May 6, 2022.
