Marvel fans are always overwhelmed with emotions when someone mentions Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa. The actor passed away last year, leaving behind a legacy of some amazing movies, most notably the MCU’s Black Panther. Fans and co-stars have paid tribute to Boseman in a number of ways. Recently, one of the episodes of Marvel’s What If…? featured a heartbreaking scene to pay tribute to T’Challa.

The Disney Plus show is an animated anthology series that opens up MCU fans to a multiverse filled with endless possibilities. The superhero show reimagines notable events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and depicts it in an incredible way.

Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa returns once more in the sixth episode of What If…? He confronts his cousin as Killmonger struggles to assert his control over Wakanda. Earl Killmonger had to share the limelight in Black Panther, but Marvel Studios put great emphasis on him in this series. He is reintroduced as Tony Stark’s savior, he prevented the billionaire businessman from being injured and kidnapped, as seen in the first Iron Man movie.

The sixth episode of What If…? shows Killmonger betraying James Rhodes in a ploy with Ulysses Klaue and he’s about to get away with a lot of vibranium. However, Black Panther attempts to stop him, leading Killmonger to murder him and Rhodes. Funerals are held for Rhodes and T’Challa. Marvel fans were in tears after witnessing the funeral of Chadwick Boseman’s characters on the series.

Fans began flooding Twitter with a tribute to the late actor. “T’challa’s funeral scene, heck, I’m crying,” one user tweeted. While another user wrote: “Watching T’Challa die, a short funeral and him in the kingdom of Wakanda knowing that Chadwick is not with us.”

Like the What if …? Episode six draws to a close, Jeffrey Wright’s The Watcher makes a statement about superheroes and the legacy they leave behind. He says: “The heroes have never really left. They live forever. Like those who inspire to continue the fight, ”which is absolutely true when it comes to Chadwick Boseman.
