Although it is the wrong side of the law, heist movies and shows give ordinary people a thrill unlike any other crime story and take advantage of the desire to be on that side. Anyone who says they never thought of being part of the team that carried out daring, edge-of-the-seat heists, as we’ve seen in classics like Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, True Romance, Delhi. Belly, Ocean’s Eleven, The Sting, American Hustle, Nine Queens, Special 26 or The Italian Job is a lie or a true saint. One of the main reasons for this desire, this desire to risk the dark side, even more than money or emotion, is that all of these films are anti-system in nature and adhere to the system. Now, truth be told, no heist story has delved deeper into this sentiment than Netflix’s Money Heist. (Bella Ciao hasn’t become a world anthem for nothing that is known.) So does Money Heist Part 5 live up to the lofty standards set by its previous four exceptional seasons, or does it succumb to the curse of the final season like so many others? great shows before him? Well the answer to that is it doesn’t lower the bar an inch. Also Read – BAFTA 2014 Winners List: Chiwetel Ejiofor and Cate Blanchett Win Best Actor Award!

What is it about

After the events of season 4, Money Heist 5 picks up right where things ended, with the professor (Álvaro Morte) trying to outwit Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) after she finds her hiding place while Tokio (Úrsula Corberó), Denver (Jaime Lorente)), Río (Miguel Herrán), Stockholm (Esther Acebo), Helsinki (Darko Perić), Bogotá (Hovik Keuchkerian), Palermo (Rodrigo de la Serna) and the rest of the robbers inside the Reserve Bank of Spain confront him, with their backs to the wall, cornered on all sides, facing dangerously unexpected variables, after Lisbon (Itziar Ituño) deceives the authorities with the help of some other of the professor’s accomplices joins the rest of the team inside the bank.

What heat

There’s not a moment of respite – creator Alex Pina along with his mini army of directors and co-writers go out of their way to shove their robber masters into jam after bind until the very last episode, when you feel like there will be nothing. Check out for at least some of them, until the shocking denouement, when you hope against hope that the worst doesn’t happen (revealing more would lead to major spoilers). It’s honestly the only tinderbox type, volatile situation that could match the dominance of previous seasons, as the creative team has already shown off their smartest twist-and-turn cards, and they pull it off as a group of masters altogether. control of your craft. And the suspense in which the aforementioned outcome leaves you will make the final part of the season painfully unbearable, which opens on December 3 (this part has five episodes).

The addition of some important new cast members via flashbacks, including Berlin’s son (Pedro Alonso), is also a nice touch. Of course, those looking for the quintessential Big Twist to Money Heist won’t be disappointed, as the writers weave one together in the fourth episode. It’s kind of a moot point to talk about the performances, the editing, the camera work, the background score, the sound effects and the visual effects, as they are more or less the same players in the image both behind and in front. of the camera, and we’ve all seen what a great job they’ve done so far.

What not

There’s not much to complain about here, except probably that the Money Heist 5 takes a while to get going unlike previous seasons, but once it does, there’s no stopping it.

BL verdict

Excluding a small issue where Money Heist season 5 takes a bit of time to get started, it’s just as exciting, tense, and action-packed as previous installments, with The Professor, Tokyo, and the rest of the world’s biggest crooks backed by his toughest corner yet. This time there is only one major twist, but I guess the creators are saving the best for the final part of the season. And prepare for the ending to leave you shocked and drowned, making the wait for the latest installment almost unbearable. Drop everything and enjoy Money Heist 5 asap. I’m going with 4.5 out of 5 stars.
