Celebrated filmmaker S Shankar announced the remake of the 2005 Tamil psychological action thriller Anniyan (Aparichit in Hindi). The film will star Ranveer Singh as the lead. As fans were excited about the film, director and producer V Ravichandran disagree on the rights to the film.
For the unspoken, the 2005 Tamil-language film starred Vikram in the title role and actress Sadha played his love interest. The film centers on a disillusioned man whose frustration with what he sees as growing social apathy and public neglect leads to a divided personality trying to improve the system.
Now, producer V Ravichandran is sincere during a conversation with Pinkvilla and raised objections to the remake of Anniyan or Aparichit stating that he is the “full and sole owner of the rights to the story.” He said that filmmaker Shankar should not continue with the Hindi film starring Ranveer Singh and that he will take legal action against him.
The producer also said that he is also receiving support from many of his other colleagues. He said: “The president of the South India Film Chamber of Commerce called me last month and all the producers are supporting me as well as this is the first time this has happened in the Tamil industry. Normally, when someone remakes a song, one producer meets the other and we finally call the director. However, for the first time, without informing the producer, the director went and met with another Hindi producer and even fixed the actor (Ranveer Singh). I was very surprised and sent a lawyer notice to everyone. “
V Ravichandran also mentions that the Chamber has asked him not to worry as they will soon hold a meeting with the Producers Association in Mumbai to resolve the matter. He said: “Last month they also went and argued, so I kept quiet. So I’m waiting for what the House will say. Gada (Hindi remake producer Jayantilal Gada) is a very close friend of mine, and he’s a complete gentleman. I’ve done a lot of business with him, I don’t know how this is happening. “
On the other hand, the producer plans to move the Court to solve the matter of Ranveer Singh led the remake of Aparichit Hindi. Not only that, he is also upset with filmmaker S Shankar, who was close to him. Ravichandran said: “I am the only person who produced two films with him, whether he makes a profit or not, that’s a business, but he is a friend. I don’t know why he’s doing this. “
V Ravichandran then said: “I don’t want to sell the film, I want to produce it. I have been waiting for the last 10 years. When Gada announced (the Hindi remake), I was very surprised. He’s a gentleman, I don’t know who’s mistaking him. He’s so good that he usually talks about the smallest matters when he buys me a movie. It’s so good I know. “
