Supriya Pathak and Rithvik Dhanjani’s gang war saga looks like OTT’s answer to RGV’s Satya, Company, Sarkar

Building intrigue in the city over #WhoaretheAngres, ALT Balaji and MX Player have finally released the trailer together for their upcoming criminal web series, Cartel, which will also mark the latter’s first subscription-based OTT content. The trailer begins by showing us “The Family,” and we are introduced to Rani Mai, played by the versatile Supriya Pathak. Dressed in a nauvari sari, Rani Mai is fierce and how. They then introduce us to their three sons, Major Bhau, Madhu Bhau and Abhay, played by Tanuj Virwani, Jitendra Joshi and Rithvik Dhanjani. Set in present-day Mumbai, Cartel tells the story of five crime lords based in different areas of the city, how they carry out their illegal operations, and how political, judicial and corporate bodies are closely intertwined with the contemporary underworld. The five gangs have lived in peace and mutual cooperation thanks to a treaty presented by Rani Mai years ago. However, the turn of events creates an imbalance between the gangs, and what happens next is what Cartel is all about. Filled with twists, turns, tricks, manipulation, action, and lots of interesting drama, this masala-packed trailer tells us how interesting the show will be. Going back to Cartel, the web series mainly revolves around the Angre family and four other crime lords, and how they try to outdo each other to harness their authority as Mumbai ‘s largest mob.
