Have you ever noticed that the people we meet unexpectedly are the ones who end up becoming such an important part of our lives? The lockdown put a stop to social gatherings, but even in these difficult times, we’ve managed to be more connected than ever, and MX Player is bringing to the public the story of a friendship so unusual that it flourished during the lockdown. By allowing viewers to decide the course of the story, MX Player is India’s first OTT platform to introduce you to this new wave of storytelling. Sunanda (played by Aisha Ahmed) is very bored in the confinement and yoga is her only savior, until one day she realizes that a stranger on the other side of the balcony is imitating her asanas. Just when he is about to freak out, the stranger asks if he could teach him yoga. Thus begins the story of Sunanda and Prateek (rehearsed by Amol Parashar), also known as Balcony Buddies. Speaking of the same, Aisha Ahmed said, “I resonate with Sunanda. I love making friends, so during the confinement I would randomly greet people from the terrace of my building just to interact with humans. Amol and I have known each other for a while, so filming this piece was easy and fun. It’s a beautiful version of how you can find friends in the most amazing way and I hope the audience sees it as a breath of fresh air. It celebrates Friendship Day in its truest sense and the element of interactivity makes it even more fun for the viewer. “

Amol Parashar said: “Usually people think that making new friends in a confinement is quite difficult, which is partially true, but I think that if you just look in the right place or just go the extra mile to greet your neighbor, many things can happen. This movie is a lighthearted version along the same lines and I am very happy to be a part of it. “

The interactivity feature is an innovation in modern storytelling that allows the viewer to change the course of action of the main characters.
